  • DFM RULES
By downloading and using these Sunstone specific rule sets you can have confidence that your board can be built by Sunstone without manufacturing difficulties or unnecessary delays.
    • For Altium
      Release Notes
      Requirements: N/A
Description: This set of Altium Designer Design Rules implements the minimum requirements for Sunstone Circuits. When you begin designing your board these rules will keep your design in compliance with our manufacturing standards. You can load these rules: when you begin to set up the PCB workplace in Altium Designer; after you have transferred your design from the schematic to the PCB; and prior to positioning components on the board. You may find it necessary to create some additional rules of your own, along with our minimum standards, to achieve desired results such as a clean DRC report.
    • For EAGLE
      Release Notes
      Requirements: N/A
Description: DFM Add-Ons for EAGLE are EAGLE Design For Manufacturing (DFM) Rules files, written in accordance with Sunstone's manufacturing criteria for 2, 4, and 6 layer designs.
  • Additional Tools
Additional tools to make manufacturing compliance, file conversions and pcb design easier for you.
    • EAGLE CAM Jobs
      Release Notes
Requirements: See description below, for version information
Description: Convert to Gerber and preview your EAGLE .brd designs from your EAGLE 5.0 design tool prior to ordering at Sunstone. Catch simple setup problems that otherwise might cause ordering delays. With this utility, you can perform a pre-order conversion, and then verify that all layers, design data, and settings are correct for your specific design. In this version, EAGLE CAM Jobs improves the handling of silk screen layers; EAGLE CAM Jobs will now prompt you for silk object selection (our default settings may be different than your requirements). Additionally, the new MLB CAM Jobs utility will prompt you for pad/via de-selection for any mid-layers named with a '$' character. We now have 2 versions to compliment the different requirements in EAGLE. There were changes in the data structure that affect EAGLE 5.0 and later. As a result, the names of the sections disappear when jobs saved in 5.0 or later are used in earlier versions of this utility. If you are using EAGLE 4.16 or earlier, you will need to download the Sunstone-EAGLE_4.16_Cam.zip.
